Seeing You Again

It was brief, and I hope it’s a start, but I adored seeing you today, Sylvie. This photo above reminded me of the feeling you might have had seeing me (the surprise, I mean.;)

I’ve spent a few months going through old memories of us. There are some of the most gorgeous photos of you (which I’ve been sharing), and a good amount of you and I buddying around.

Your room especially is the backdrop for most of these photos. Most nights until you were a teenager, we spent playing silly word games, giving you lines in a theatre play and hearing you act them out in three different voices, and of course:
• Grobbo
• ‘Chinese man’
• ‘Blind robot
• + more.
Can you remember other characters?

We missed a year and nine months of each other’s lives. It’s been nearly two years since we went to the movies together. Gone to the beach. Our birthdays, Christmas, New Year’s, two Halloweens — we missed a lot.
I don’t want to miss anymore.
Love you, Sylvie.

My Favourite Video, Ever
Do you remember these performances? You had no fear. Total confidence. This time, this video showcases your ability to sing a song, impromptu, with made-up lyrics, all the while playing ukulele for the first time. Love it.
This is a lot of what made me smile back then.
